This exciting entry-level swim gala marks the beginning of the competitive journey for South Africa’s youngest swimmers. Hosted at the state-of-the-art Generations Aquatics Centre in Somerset West, the SSA Level 1 Provincial Age Group Championships brings together top juniors from across the Western Cape for a full day of racing, energy, and inspiration.

Swimmers aged 9 to 12 years (and newly qualified older age groups) will race in a professionally run, high-standards short course format. It’s the perfect first exposure to structured competition under Swimming South Africa (SSA) rules — and a critical stepping stone toward higher levels of the sport.
