Seven Cybersmart Aquatics Swimmers Earn Eight Colours Awards in 2026

Cybersmart Aquatics is exceptionally proud to celebrate seven swimmers who have earned a combined eight Colours awards in recognition of their achievements during the 2026 swimming season.

These honours recognise performances across the SA National Junior Age Group Championships, SA National Youth Championships, SA Level 3 Regional Championships, and SA Schools Swimming Championship.

Western Cape Age Group Full Colours

Four Cybersmart Aquatics swimmers earned Western Cape Age Group Full Colours after qualifying for and competing at the 2026 SA National Junior Age Group Championships:

Competing at SANJ represents an important milestone in a young swimmer’s development and reflects sustained commitment, disciplined training, and performance at national level.

Western Cape Age Group Half Colours

Three swimmers earned Western Cape Age Group Half Colours through individual A-final appearances.

Milan Coetzer

Milan competed in three individual A finals at the 2026 SA National Youth Championships:

50m Backstroke — 2nd, 27.44
100m Backstroke — 4th, 1:00.17
200m Backstroke — 3rd, 2:11.97

Katja Kimani

Katja reached seven individual A finals at the 2026 SA Level 3 Regional Championships:

50m Freestyle — 1st, 31.07
100m Freestyle — 2nd, 1:08.67
100m Breaststroke — 3rd, 1:30.91
50m Butterfly — 2nd, 34.86
100m Butterfly — 1st, 1:17.93
200m Breaststroke — 3rd, 3:17.94
50m Breaststroke — 4th, 41.67

Hannah Witten

Hannah competed in two individual A finals at the 2026 SA National Youth Championships:

100m Breaststroke — 8th, 1:24.94
200m Breaststroke — 5th, 2:56.29

SA Schools Colours

Cara Visser also earned SA Schools Colours after representing Western Cape Schools at the 2026 SA Schools Swimming Championship.

Receiving two separate Colours awards in the same season is an exceptional achievement and reflects Cara’s commitment across both club and schools swimming.

Colours are never earned through a single performance. They represent countless early mornings, demanding training sessions, challenging races, small improvements, and the determination to keep showing up.
